Essential Cleaning Tools/Products You'll Find at Our Coffee Counter~

A coffee counter/ space dedicated to coffee requires daily cleaning for a clean and delicious brew! Here is a quick rundown on a few cleaning products that we simply can't do without.

1. Handheld Vacuum Cleaner: Cleaning Made Effortless

The handheld vacuum cleaner resides and hangs on the side of our coffee counter table. With its easy and quick cleanup capabilities, it's the perfect tool for maintaining cleanliness in the midst of our brewing and cupping frenzy. It's our daily go-to for cleaning the grinder chute, preventing pesky buildup that could compromise the flavor of our brews or impact grind consistency.

2. Camera Air Blower: Precision Cleaning

A great tool to pair with a brush and vacuum is a camera air blower! We use this to blow away fine grinds from hard-to-reach places, this blower gets to hard-to-reach places and ensures that no trace of coffee chaff remains where it shouldn't.

3. Biodegradable Dishcloth: Eco-Friendly Cleanup Solution

During our cafe shop days, we stumbled upon a game-changer – the cellulose + cotton fiber biodegradable dishcloth (also known as Swedish dishcloth). This unassuming cloth boasts the ability to absorb up to 10-15 times its weight in water, it leaves no unsightly streaks behind on the countertop! Lasting an impressive 3-6 months, this eco-friendly gem can be hand-washed or tossed into the washing machine, and when its time comes, it gracefully returns to the earth as compost, unlike its non-woven counterparts.

4. Baking Soda (Bi-Carb Soda): Non-toxic Cleaner

Sodium Bicarbonate is our favorite cleaning product for all things coffee. It cleans well and deodorizes without any fragrance. This non-toxic magic works like a charm to remove coffee oil, and a small box last more than a couple of years!

5. Soaking Container: Deep clean

Dedicate a small/medium-sized container to soak your espresso basket/ portafilter or pour-over vessel, metal filters, etc. Just drop a bit of baking Soda, let it soak overnight and give it a quick rinse in the morning!

Until next month, happy brewing cleaning! Heartily thanks from us!
